We keep memories, seriously.

1950 - 1959

Mom and I in the darkroom.

Our darkroom for film development.

This is photograph number 12, this is where I grew up spending a lot of time in the darkroom where my parents used to process the photographs at home. I learnt at that time I used to help my dad as well so it was quite special because you have to work in the dark he had a special red light that you could print the photo on the printing paper and then you put it through the various chemicals and the last bowl on the other side was filledĀ  with water so the photo lies in water until such time as the photo had been printed. I must have been about nine or ten’ish think andĀ  my mom and I were obviously getting ready to work there and my dad wanted to take a photo of us which is something that always happens and there I am I was glasses only sells definitely nine or ten and ahh, my mom’s gorgeous as always I have a serious little face and the hair is still curling in underneath.
